When adding a new property, how can I ensure it will be mapped accurately?

In order to determine the physical location of a property, the address entered must be a single, valid street address or a simple intersection. Below are some guidelines for correct property addresses:

5879 Henri-Bourassa Est
This address is simple and straightforward, making it easier for the mapping system to analyze. Even if the property is located in a range such as "5875-5879 Henri Bourassa Est", enter only one street number.

If the property has more than one street address, choose only one to enter. Use the "Property Description" field to enter any additional addresses.

Avoid Unnecessary Characters
Do not use the number sign (#), the "@" symbol, ampersands (&), multiple dashes, or parentheses in the address.

Do not Indicate the Corner of an Intersection
The terms "Northeast Corner of", "NEC", and "N.E.C." will all cause the geo-coding to fail.

"1/2" and "1/4"
The address "5879 1/2 Henri-Bourassa" will fail; use "5879 Henri-Bourassa" instead.
